Meeting Keren

It's been a strange year. I was apprehensive meeting Keren, but I have nothing to lose. She see's my face, I don't care. I've lost my privacy. I can't hide forever, if she's going to help me I have to trust her. I need to trust other people. This is the first step back into the world.

We met in the park. It was a surprising meeting. This is going to be a good year. I'm going to find the answers that I'm looking for.

Well Jack, that was definately a surprise meeting, especially since it seems to be someone you knew from school a few years before. I also understand that you must have permanent injuries to your face. This is truly unfortunate especially since first impressions are based upon what we look like and not whom we truly are inside. I once saw a girl who had that lip problem where he lip was attached to the inside of her mouth, can't remember what it's called but there is a name for it..lipst, maybe, anyways. She was holding a small dog in her arms and she was hiding her mouth with the dog, it was a dog that looks like it had the same look as her face did, you know the kind of dog I'm talking about, flat nose, weird mouth. I truly felt un at ease, but like to look at how others act when they saw her face. We truly are mean as humans. This all to say that there is always worst in this world and sometimes it is easier to find our compatible, someone like ourself, to make any relationship work. So try to find someone who has the same problem as you and yous will both be happy. I am sure there is a girl out there who is facing the same pressure as you and would be understanding to this problem. Good Luck Jack, don't ever think you are alone, there is always somebody else, in the same predicament. I have also found through life that people who are less pretty on the outside are usually very pretty on the inside. When I was young I met a guy while we were playing hockey outside on ice, and he wore a hat that covered all his face except his mouth and eyes, I found out later that he had a gun accident and blew his face off, he was very difficult to look at, but I would see him every once in a while and he always talked to me for I would make him feel normal since I would talk to him as a normal person, it was hard but I learnt something then in my younger years. I have not see him now for over 20 years but the last time I saw him, it was apparent that he had alot of work done on his face, but he would never get back what was lost, but he never gave up. Hope I could help Jack. A voice from Montreal. Alien

Is Karen the same individual as the doctor you were upset with before? She looks very similar...
